Extremely anxious

Is it normal to be extremely anxious while tapering? I am now taking 2.5mg of prednisone every other day and Kevzara bi weekly. It's so bad I can't stand myself. I took an anxiety pill and it's not helping.

Be, do you have anxiety disorder? Any of many factors could kick this up, esp steroids, but since you are tapering, one would think the anx would be decreasing, not increasing. Were you anx before the taper?
Just a thought: I was told never to take generic Synthroid as it wasn't regulated as well as brand. That was a long time ago and may not hold true today.
I still take brand tho.
Hope you get better...anxiety is so tough.

Many drug insurance plans do not cover brand Synthroid. Also, even the drug inserts tell you not to change thyroid brands once your body has adjusted to the brand you are on. Please read up on the topic and talk with your prescribing doctor should you chose to change. I started needing it before generics were available, long-time user.

I pay out of pocket and have *no* intention of changing from brand.

I purchase a blood pressure durg from Canada since I require brand. It saves me around $4,000 dollars a year over the drug purchased in the US even if I win an appeal to my drug insurance company. I have also purchased a boutique brand antibiotic from Canada saving $1,000.

If you are interested in looking into the possibility of getting Synthroid from Canada please send me a private message and I will discuss further how I go about it. I am considering getting my Synthroid from Canada next year as well.

Thanks so much, JA. I am very tempted as I would prefer all my drugs be brand. I find when the stores switch generics, I can tell a difference esp w/a "head" med I take. Thx for the offer.
