Body vibrations when falling asleep or waking?

I'm actually afraid, now, to take Temazepam because of the excessive frightening dreams, waking up at all hours of the night and then trying to fall asleep. I've been on it for so long. I was given Dalmane along with Elavil(both strong drugs) years ago. The pharmacy misunderstood the doctor and gave me Melloril (psychiatric drug) The internal tremors are rather new to me. I am unable to fall asleep without a sleeping pill and would be awake the entire night, so I'm in a difficult place.
I'd like to have a sleep study done while I TAKE the Temazepam so they can see what it does to my brain - but that won't happen. Sleep labs just look for RL or apnea.
I am making an appointment to see a sleep medicine doctor who helped my son. I just need someone to listen to me -- to understand. The doctor who fills my prescription has never met me and I have never met her. My former doctor left the area.

Thanks for your reply to me. You know what I have been going through. Few people know.

Take care, Benzo Buddy.

I would definitely discuss the Temazepam with your physician as they may want you to gradually reduce the dosage rather than just stopping the drug cold turkey. You may also wish to discuss with your pharmacist on how this drug can effect one after so many years of being on it, they seem to know these medications and side effects etc. better than physicians. But the fact is, after so many years the body becomes dependent on benzo's therefore the reason to ease off over time if you decide to quit taking this medication.

Best to you and I hope sleep returns. It is frustrating for sure.
