Did anyone think they had Covid in 2019?

I ask this because I got really sick with cough, fever and chest congestion for three days at the end of November. I always questioned if it was here prior to when they announced it in March 2020. Felt different from the flu.

I did not but you can surely bet it was here well before March. It was in China before they announced it was there. There were some athletic games over in China in the Fall of 2019 I believe and some participants got sick and didn’t know anything about Covid at the time. And there were no traveling restrictions in 2019 so it’s certainly more likely than not that it was in the United States if you reside there. I do but don’t want to assume everyone lives in the US like an arrogant prick

kellysmail2016, I believe a family member had it in December of 2019. They were very sick for weeks with the same COVID symptoms we all saw in 2020. Blessings & Prayers to all....

I was diagnosed with pneumonia in November of 2019. I am convinced that it was Covid. The only other time I’ve been that sick was this year which was my first official time having Covid.

I had covid jan / Feb 2020.
It “officially” began in Philly in March.
Local hospitals did a retrospective study of ER cases and deaths from Covid “symptoms”
Conclusion: Covid was circulating well before March, 2020.

I don’t want to get into politics, but the number of cases and general information on the ramifications of a pandemic were suppressed.

Yes to pain relief!!!! I wish I was more versed or even understood all that is really going on. I read and read and unless you are privy to more than some posts, you go with what you think. I’m speaking for myself. Someone is controlling this mess and really doesn’t seem to care about me/you at all. Big Pharma and Drs are making bank and I’m sitting poor in horrible shape hoping for some help! You know, before pandemic, not a problem getting a Drs appointment or Specialist appointment. Now, unless you are in already, (and even some that you are an existing patient of) it takes 6 months to a year to get an appointment. How the hell does that help? I’ve been really bad about 15 months and my first appointment with a Urogyn. (Urologist and gynecologist combo) is end of month. I’ve been waiting 10 months. My pelvic floor has dropped and now my uterus and bladder are coming out of me. ( I never discuss this but it is a great example) This is from coughing so much for two years from Long Covid /Covid. I get infections each month because of low immune system from…. Wait for it…you guessed it… LC. I’m freaking miserable. I have so many Specialists, like 7 I think. I saw my PCP only, with a few age required checkups here and there and got right in. Now, even my PCP is 2 weeks out for sick and looks run down as hell. She was so organized. Now she sits and says shew to me. Been going to her since 2017 so she has become quite friendly. She though is not as “on the ball” as she was. Overworked, but that bank account I’m sure looks nice, if she lives to spend it. She is one who actually cares. They say that there are only about 20% of LC patients?? If that is so, how did all Drs get packed!!! Are they there? I know my PH friends said their Pulmonary and Heart Drs were.
