Shockwave or Softwave Therapy for Neuropathy Pain?

I love my Shockwave treatment. It works wonders for me.

Can you elaborate on where you get these treatments and how frequently they are required?

I have numbness, prickling or a tingling in both feet which spreads upward into my legs & then jumpy legs at night. Sometimes just a burning pain or an electrical shock out of the blue in a toe. I’ve tried Gabapentin but it left me feeling drugged all the time. I did physical therapy 3 times a week for 5 months & it helped a bit while I was doing it, especially the day of. I take 600mg of ibuprofen in the morning & 600mg more in the afternoon & it keeps me going. As anyone that has any kind of pain knows, we are always looking for relief & hopefully not in a pill or surgical form. Shock wave therapy sounds great & would love to hear if anyone has tried it and their outcome. Thx in advance

I have had neuropathy for over three years. When activity became less and less I started pt. They got me back up and going but the electric shock pain was unbearable. My pt asked me if I wanted to try dry needling. I had had two strained muscles before this and needling cured them immediately so I said yes. It worked immediately on the intense pain, so I did it every week. When I felt I was growing immune she mentioned the shock wave treatment. It helped. I was needling for probably 6 months once a week for $25 ea and the pain improved so I stopped. I got by about 5 months and I’m getting the pain back but not every day. My back up are gummies. They come in 10mg thc pieces, I eat about a quarter and the pain completely stops. I’m a smaller frame so everyone is different. Before I got those I got some homemade thc salve which also miraculously helped on the other pains. My Neurologist is thrilled that I don’t take any prescriptions for it.

I go to a physical therapy office. They have different ways of paying depending upon how many treatments you sign up for. I do not use it on a regular basis. My neuropathy is triggered when I have major allergy events, so I the Shockwave treatment works wonders when this happens. If it flared continually I would set up a treatment plan like I did with the cold laser.
