I have had just 2 biopsies. I learned during a second opinion that the first biopsy was “ marginally adequate “ 🙄. Next biopsy is likely the week of Oct 28. I also learned that 50% of my cells have the FLT 3 mutation which may be causing the chemo to be less effective.

Hi @sennep, I just wanted to followup with you to see how you’re doing. Did you have your BMBX Oct 28th?
You mentioned having the FLT3 mutation, which can be a real bugaboo in the treatment of AML. I had 3 mutations, including the FLT3.
There is a targeted med for FLT3 that I had to take for the 3 weeks between the cytarabine/idarubicine cycles. Has your doctor suggested midostaurin (RYDAPT ?
