Has anyone tried fasting 2-3 days prior to chemo?

Many research studies on ketosis and less side effects of chemo. Does anyone have any insights on this ?

Thanks for comment. So you think it helped ? And were you advised by dr to do that or just your own research?

I'm currently receiving chemotherapy. I'm using a Fast mimicking product called Prolon. It's a 5 day fast, with food, I start 3 days before day of and day after.

I'm on my 3rd cycle. I have had very few side effects. The main side effect is hair loss it didn't slow that down and I had issues with low neutrophil. I have one or 2 fatigued days, but there not terrible.

This has gone so well I won't do a round without fasting.

The product has trials going for leukemia and I think they're starting out on breast cancer.

There is good results for fasting and fast mimicking on pudmed.

It's a huge commitment but I think it's worth the effort
