Hi, my name is Danny, had my first and Last Reclast infusion in June 2024. I had back issues prior to going. Well, a few days after the infusion both shoulders, forearms are awful painful, more so upon waking up in the morning. As the day goes by the pain seems to lessen but the arms start to go numb; only to repeat the whole process the next night / day. I start physical therapy tomorrow and was filling out their questionnaire when I remembered this injection, looked it up and this is what I found! I do hope this eventually wears off because there are days I cannot lift my right shoulder at all. Thank you for allowing me to join and vent!

Danny, I’m so sorry you had these side effects. I did Reclast in April because my bones are so soft and I needed surgery for a very compressed spine. I had the surgery October 4 praise God! I did not have side effects from the Reclast (that I know of), a little achey once in a while. In my latest Dexa, I did show significant statistical improvement in bone density, although the surgeon said they were still soft. This probably isn’t much help to you, but wanted to encourage you if I could, and let you know someone out here hears you, and cares.

Hi. I'm having a problem also. I feel like I'm coming down with the flu. Achy, tired and my right shoulder has pain and hard to move. Now I do have Arthritis in that shoulder and it's always a little swollen, but it was feeling good before the Infusion. Next day (yesterday) my arm is in real pain and hard to move. I just happen to have an appointment today with my Primary. I'll see what he thinks. I am so glad I found this group and got to see there are others who feel the same as I do and we're not crazy. My doctor yesterday told me to take 2 Tylenol?? Crazy right? Thank you.
