The best

Great. I will. Thanks

Lp(a) was 312…on Repatha it went down to 267. I have been on the Horizon trial for Pelacarsen for 2 1/2 years…I have not had my Lp(a) measured since then. Pelacarsen has been shown to decrease Lp(a) by 80%. It is an once a month injection.

Life is good…be good to yourself. 🥰

That sounds great. Stay safe and healthy.

Correction: I posted something by mistake on another thread about copay assistance being available through the Pan Foundation. It’s not Pan its the Healthwell Foundation. I can’t find that thread now. Sorry for any inconvenience!

I have only taken two doses of Repatha and am completely fatigued and dry skin! I have severe itching from statins and Zetia caused me to have pancreatitis, as did plant sterols. I have high LDL and triglycerides along with psoriasis.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

So sorry to hear that you are having those side effects. As a RN I acquired Latex allergy working in hospitals. Today I have to take precautions on what I eat or which medications could give me flare-ups due to my Latex allergy. My cardiologist recommended me to take Zetia and Repatha. I didn’t take them. I call their respective pharmaceutical companies to find out if I could take them since I suffer from Latex allergies and they didn’t recommend them. They said that severe allergic reactions could be triggered by taking these medications in patients who are allergic to Latex. I don’t know if you have ever heard about Latex allergies but you can find information about it. I am not saying that you have it but as a nurse I remembered seeing patients who had been suffering from it for years. And yes Zetia could caused pancreatitis. There is no warning of having severe reactions with the statins in persons with latex allergies. I am taking pitavastatin 1mg and I am not having side effects so far. I take it in the night before bedtime with a capsule of CoQ10. My LDL went down as well as my Cholesterol & Triglycerides. My HDL now is 61 before it was 52. I am a true fan of the Mediterranean diet. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I only drink water no sodas. I don’t eat red meat. No sweets except now and then I eat a 70% Dark chocolate once a week because it has good properties that help against the inflammation of the artery walls. Only chicken, fish vegetables fruits and nuts. I prepare all my meals with Robust Extra Virgin Olive oil. I exercise walking 30-45 minutes a day,, 5 days a week recommended by Mayo Clinic. It has worked for me. Talk to your doctor before starting anything new. I hope you get better.

I did my first injection a few days back. Had night sweats and a bad leg cramp that night but since then, I feel fine. Maybe just a coincidence. I’ve had those issues before, more so during statin therapy. Off statins 8 blissful months.
