Rats. I got my results back. Doctor calls it a mass now,not nodule. Took that pet scan and I have lung cancer. It's in both sides .

oh my, my best to you. I understand there are now so many great advancements now in treatments leading to a cure. hoping for a complete cure for you.

I’m sorry to hear this for you. I was diagnosed this time last year. Try not to panic. Easier said than done and something I still struggle with. But, do ask about biomarker testing for your tumor. I had the EGFR mutation and ended up being able to take a targeted therapy drug instead of chemo. I did have to do radiation because of another small, suspicious nodule in the other lung. We will never know if that was cancer but they treated it as though it was. There are other mutations that have other therapies as well. I’m doing well and coming up on a year since my surgery. Try to live in the moment and stay grounded to facts. Don’t believe your voices in your head that will try to convince you that your days are numbered. They are. But not because you have cancer.

@jones1959, I'm sorry that you didn't receive better news. Hearing that you have cancer is likely one of the most difficult times that you'll face in your life. That's when it's so up-ending! It may take a little time for you wrap your head around the diagnosis, and that's completely normal.
Do you have an appointment scheduled? What's next? Oncology?
