interesting...you're right about interest/area of specialty. I tried to book a consult with a fairly high level endo (since so many here see endo docs for their osteo) and just as I was about to fwd records from my primary care, they abruptly canceled my appt, stating they don't focus on osteo issues. I was really surprised, but I guess it's not that unusual.

When I asked one of my specialists for suggestions in looking for osteoporosis treatment in another state he said usually people go to endocrinologists or rheumatologists. He had known a couple of ob/gun's who were really good, but that was rare. He said the key was to look for a doctor with a subspecialty in management of bone disease.
