Hello all, does anyone have any experience with tonsil reoccurrence?

Reoccurrence as in tonsil returning after tonsillectomy or cancer returns after surgery in the tonsil area? As for the former, while not common, tonsils can return after being removed just as lymph nodes can return after removal. All parts of the lymphatic system.

I have had two reoccurrence of lingual squamous cell cancer. 3 surgeries in the past two years. Getting quarterly scope and scans.

@ijones98280, hearing that your tonsil cancer has returned must've been a blow. While not tonsil cancer, @sepdvm and @alpaca along with @mark10 know what it is like to hear that head and neck cancer has returned.

Has the cancer returned as a lesion in the mouth or is it metastasis somewhere else in the body? What treatment options have been suggested? How are you doing?
