The body is normally fighting something all the time. Sometimes a chronic infection results in inflammation that slowly erodes the defences the body mounts on a daily basis. Again, this is a type of stress, and it can lead to slow/low immune response, hyper-immune response, and other problems. You may have won the battle with the sinus and it's history at this point. But something is going on and it needs to be discovered by an empathetic professional who wants to do this for your sake. It doesn't sound like your primary care giver is on top of this, and probably because it's beyond that person to be there. Again, you need an advocate, even if it's a good friend or child or sibling, but someone has to impress upon a competent authority that you need intervention, perhaps for multiple issues.
What do you take for you again and do you think I should be taking something for my tachycardia
I could go on forever….
I am not sure if you have reached your limit with me but I just want to mention when I had cataract surgery I had to put a steroid and an antibiotic in my eye and at that time my adrenal rushes stopped until I finished the treatment only to start again after.. just sayin.
I cannot thank you enough for all the time you have taken for me..
I am not sure how I am going to get that intervention
I am in normal sinus rhythm since my last ablation mid-February. At the time, I was not on an anti-arrhythmic because I was not persistent...I was paroxysmal, meaning it came and corrected itself randomly. All I needed was a beta-blocker to keep a lid on the runaway rate of my heart because mine was usually north of 140 when in AF. The beta-blocker prescribed to me is exceedingly common, and almost universally reasonably well tolerated. The drug is called 'metoprolol'. me-TOP-pruh-loll.
A highly skilled internist or cardiologist might like to know about your experience with the steroid and antibiotic. It might ring a bell for that person.
Have you seen an endocrinologist to check functioning of your adrenal glands?
I have adrenaline rushes starting every morning at 5.
Uncomfortable, almost sick-ish dreams start if I try to sleep more. This has been going on for three years, starting after a traumatic time in my life. I'm pretty sure anxiety is a factor, but meds I have tried do nothing for it.
It was particularly bad this am...(my birthday, btw) and I'm getting desperate for a solution...Thanks for listening.
We’re you ever able to get relief from this? I believe I am undergoing the same type of issue. Ever time I try to sleep I feel a surge in my gut. Last night the surge was so great that I almost fell of the couch. Wife saw it and scared her.

I have this too. It starts in my gut and travels down my legs and also to my upper body. It’s a terrible feeling. I have had it for decades. I’m working with a Neurologist now to get cortisol levels back on a normal schedule. He feels I pump out adrenaline and cortisol at inappropriate times due to prolonged stress. As someone else said, you need to find a doctor who listens, and will help you find some solutions. Resetting my circadian rhythm, and getting a consistent sleep cycle is where my doctor started. I am sleeping better, and he feels that it where it begins.
Good luck.
Hello...
I have an appointment with a nurologist for a different issue. I am currently taking a supplement from a functional MD for cortisol.
Did you see the nurologist specifically for cortisol issue?
No. It just so happened that this Neurologist is also nutrition trained, and was willing to work with me on cortisol issues through nutrition and supplements, and working on better sleep habits. My Primary Care doctor is an Integrative doctor and is also offering suggestions for this adrenal rush problem.
I wish I could tell you we have found the key. So far we have not, but I’m grateful for these doctors who are trying to help me find relief. It is a complex issue I think.
Your functional doctor is probably a good resource to help your symptoms.
Good luck.
