Orgovyx extreme fatigue side effects
I have been using Orgovyx several years for prostate cancer and am now have in extreme fatigue side effects during the afternoon. I take Orgovyx late morning every day and side effects kick in around 3p.m. I was wondering if I switched to taking Orgovyx at night in stead if side effects during day would be reduced

thanks
After completing nearly six months on Orgovyx, I am pleased to report that it has effectively fulfilled its purpose. Beginning the medication just prior to external beam radiation with calypso markers, I experienced a significant decrease in my bio reoccurrence levels within the first month < .01. However, it is important to note that while the drug has been effective, it does come with its downsides. The persistent hot flashes 24/7 have been particularly troublesome, disrupting my sleep and resulting in occasional chills. Additionally, I have noticed a lack of drive, muscle loss, and a complete absence of libido. Despite these side effects, I believe that enduring them is well worth the benefits provided by Orgovyx. Furthermore, I have been informed that recovery from this treatment is relatively swift compared to other ADT therapies - which is certainly a significant advantage. Wishing you all the best and hoping this information proves helpful for you as well.
Is there anyone in this Prostate Cancer forum that is certain that taking Orgovyx and/or Zytiga has caused muscle stiffness?? I've been taking both drugs since January, 2024, and I now notice that my knees are very stiff which wasn't the case just two months ago. Just curious... Thanks for all the excellent comments thru everyones' experience with your Prostate Cancer journey...
I've been on Zytiga since last december, haven't had any muscle stiffness. Best to all.
Been on Zytiga 17 months, went to two car shows this summer. 1-1 1/2 hour into the car show my legs started tightening up around my knees. Had to leave or sit down immediately. Could be you have a good point about the knees.
Went to doctor yesterday for my knees, got x-rays- knees were normal. Knees recover overnight after rest. This is all I can tell ya about this so called Journey, I don’t want to be on.
I have been on both ORGOVYX and ZYTIGA for five months now. I am 69 years old and in excellent physical condition. Compared to my friends that were on LUPRON, I’m doing outstanding. When I first started 0RGOVYX the hot flashes were bothersome for the first three weeks or so. I still have hot flashes, but for me they are nothing more than a minor annoyance now. My libido has been reduced substantially, but at least it’s not gone. I think I’ve gained 5 pounds. I take my pill each night when I get up to pee.
0RGOVYX was my choice not my oncologist’s. I saw what Lupron did to my friends that went through treatment before me and so far I think this has been a better choice for me.
Good luck on your journey!
I tried Orgovyx at night before bed but it aggravated my insomnia. I'd wake up at 1 AM unable to fall back asleep. I now take it at 3 PM. My daily exercise is done and work is almost done. Around 5 PM, like clockwork, I get chills and some fatigue but not horrible. My biggest complaint with Orgovyx is loss of orgasm.
Yup, I have definitely noticed that my sleep pattern has changed. It’s like I’m just lying in bed with these long periods of getting close to nodding off but just not OUT.
Throw in the peeing and the cats doing Irish step dancing on my bladder, I might as well get up and start the coffee!
Thanks for your reply! Helos my mental state I think (smile)
