@06111945cc Thanks for clarifying! It doesn’t seem there are any publications on every other day dosing of Forteo, although it has been studied for some other dosing variations with successful bmd gains. This makes the info from your therapy so unique. 2mo into your therapy, P1NP was up 39% which is great! The interesting one is CTX at 2mo - it went down 47%. This change in CTX is in contrast with what’s seen in clinical trials for daily dosing of Forteo - CTX usually increases somewhat but less in magnitude compared with P1NP during early months’ Forteo therapy. No matter what the reason(s) behind your CTX change is or the fact that it went down, you were in anabolic window for sure at 2 month of Forteo. A reduction in CTX was even better for anabolic action. P1NP of 80 on 9/13 is indicating this bone marker came back down to baseline - this seems a bit earlier than what happened with daily dosing in trials. Perhaps this is a result of every other day dosing? Different dosing regimen could result in differences in btm response pattern.
What’s your endo’s opinion about your dosing and btm readings? Hope you do a DXA at 12mo Forteo to get a confirmation of bmd improvement. That will be a great holiday gift!
