THE REBUILDER for peripheral neuropathy

Posted by richardfrancine @richardfrancine, May 24, 2021

Has anyone tried this machine? If so, does it work? Or is it just another way of delivering TENS?

It’s a tens unit. Only research on the product seems to be done by the company.

I agree with Rubyslippers. Its a tens unit that sells for$1400.00 there is nothing special about it except the price. I was referred to purchase one and I tried it for a month with no results.

Hi
It is a device that I saw advertised by a « Dr Phillips » , claiming that it will regenerate nerves - rather far-fetched - but my husband nevertheless spoke to his nephrologist about it. This doctor told him that THE REBUILDER was only another TENS machine, and at an outrageous price. Please don’t fall for this scam. It will not regenerate nerves.

Its a scam. Do your research and you will realize this. Do not purchase I am now engaged with the physician who recommended it to get my money back.

Good morning

My husband tried the circulation promoter, and not the rebuilder. I’m sorry I was not clear in what I wrote. As mentioned before, the rebuilder is just another TENS machine at an outrageous price. All the best to you!

Good morning. I purchased the Rebuilder 2407 for $1500.00 from an integrative health business. Later, I discovered that there is a model 300 available for $1040.00, which has only one output, and that's all I need. In my opinion, these are nothing but very expensive Tens units. All you need is a Low Frequency Tens unit. It provides relief while using it, but so far, it has not had any lasting effect, except that I ended up being taken for $1500.00.

Hello @richardfrancine, Welcome to Connect, an online community where patients and caregivers share their experiences, find support and exchange information with others. I used a Zopec DT-1200 tens unit years ago with not much success or help. I have no experience with the Rebuilder but I'm really skeptical of all the claims. It seems similar to what a lot of the neuropathy clinics offer for treatments that have you continually coming back for the next treatment. Hoping others can share their experience.

Have you done any research on the Rebuilder?

I am trying to find positive statements on the Rebuilder. I have not seen any medical research supporring it. Now on Mayo Interconnect I am seeing some patient statements. Several say its a SCAM. A few say it might help.

So there is no clear statement that it works! I am at an opt out point with a Chiro after paying $3800 for 9 of 18 treatment including adjustments for back pain. The deal is I pay another $3,800 now or as an alternative I negotiated a rate of $210 for office visits. [I have actually had only 5 visits and ownership of the Rebuilder and LZR UltraBright [Light therapy device] and a bunch of supplements. And after accounting for the equipment cost and 5 visits they say I owe them $152 ] Doesn't add up to what I originally agreed. However, I need to decide now whether I continue since I took a break over July 4th and am scheduled to start again on August 16, 2024.

That article from 14 years ago relied only on Rebuilder literature and internal studies. Also, it was before an FDA warning to Rebuilder that they were advertising non-approved uses for their device.

I am curious. Is that Chiro in Round Rock, TX? It sounds like exactly what I am being offered.

By any chance are you going to a Chiro/Integrative Health in Brookfield, WI? I have had a very similar experience, with costs and being overcharged multiple times. If so I recommend reconsidering going back.

I saw Rebuilder literature in USPharmacist and it was listed as an advertisement. The lettering was hard to see. Adding to the scam
