Wow I go to MSK also and my experience, other than Dr Mulhall, hasn’t been nearly as comprehensive as yours. I had to initiate contact with Dr Mulhall myself. I was given a radiation oncologist and that’s it. They’re the ones that take a long time to answer questions.

When I was put on ADT I asked the side effects and was just told hot flashes and tiredness and nothing more. I had to push to get off Lupron and onto Orgovyx.

You’re right about the body stuff. It’s weird isn’t it. I have friends who have bellies and a couple who are outright fat and I don’t judge them at all. Maybe I’m my own harshest critic and nobody else really gives a crap.

Wow, which Sloan do you go to? I see Dr Barsky and his team in Commack. He’s young and pretty cool. He put me on Orgovyx from the getgo.
Initially I saw Dr Grossman whom I really did not care for but he left for Florida or something and I was reassigned to Dr Barsky. What you describe is exactly what I thought Sloan WOULD be, but it turned out a lot better.
And yes, no one judges us more harshly than we ourselves do. In my case I realized was never gonna be the best looking guy in the group so I decided to work at being in shape - by that I mean toned and no jiggly fat, not muscle beach with bulging biceps. So that’s what I’ve always aspired to and my wife always makes fun of me for passing up the dessert cake or the ice cream, ‘But you’re so skinny!’ She yells…
Now I EAT the cake, the cookies and whatever else I want because I have the perfect excuse for getting fat - ‘ It’s these damn hormones!’ I tell her. But of course I get on the treadmill the next day and punish myself for being ‘weak’….🤭
