Y-90 liver cancer treatment: What's your experience?
I recently was treated with y-90 on a tumor in my liver. I am interested in knowing of others that have had experiences good, or bad, and of long term results. I have had prior resection of the liver to remove a tumor but a new tumor surfaced in a different section. I am hoping the y-90 will prove to be a more permanent solution. Thanks

Hello - new to this - am stepping in on behalf of my husband, John, who has just this week gone through the mapping stage. He was diagnosed in last 7 weeks with liver cancer/primary. With a very large tumour 15 cm and then they found another one during mapping. He is not eating much and is totally depressed, I am reaching out to find some help. Reading your blog there is much reason to be hopeful. We are in Canada and the healthcare is good but not very communicative. Please advise if you have any appetite suggestions or any suggestions at all. We are kind of on our own here.
hope all went well with you! Rest now.
Hello Colleen, I see that you are the leader / Director. If you can do anything in regards to putting word out for John would be much appreciated. He is losing much hope, mainly because he / we have little or no communication as to what's going to happen next?? This is so stressful nobody could believe. I wish we had a dog.........cats just are there.
Yes 👍 I got some bad news my tumer is no in my blood vessel and it's scary I'm trying to stay positive as I can was told that if I don't do the y90 I'll have 6-8 months to live because it's now in my vessel 😭 so I went with it they had to go threw my leg and it was not painful at all just kept falling asleep woke up kinda dizzy but other than that I feel fine but I don't no what my next steps are at this point please say a prayer for me 🙏 thank you 🙏
well, at least you're awake and happening. I would go with the treatment -- I was thinking you were already having it but can't follow all of the blog bit. Didn't you have this treatment this morning? Anyway -- good luck to us all.
seems many people have tumours which impinge on major blood vessels -- it's about the treatment and killing or shrinking the tumour
