Has anyone used Align for IBS?

Posted by cherriann @cherriann, Sep 14, 2016

I've been reading and seeing ads about Align. I am considering giving it a try. There appears to be several different types of Align too, and wondering if anyone can tell me which one would be the best to purchase.

Never helped me and very expensive. Bidus infantis is only bacteria and not enough. Go to Dr Oz site and look for link to lab he recommends. I have done well by increasing quality yogurt and soured foods. Like sauerkraut and refrigerated dill pickles.

I eat smaller meals at one time and avoid spicy foods.

Speak with your GI doctor about it. They are a great person to answer questions about probiotics and should have knowledge of what's on the market to help you explore your options and figure out what will be best for you depending on your diagnosis and symptoms.

Probiotics contain different strains of bacteria, so it's important to be knowledgeable about what you're choosing and to understand what you're taking in addition to doing your own research.

Here are some examples of questions to consider asking:

1. Would probiotics help me?
2. What are the benefits?
3. Are they safe?
4. Which are best for me?
5. How do I take them?
6. How much should I take?
7. How long should I use them?

Many studies do support the use of probiotics for IBS, so it's worth asking about. Again, best to get a recommendation from your doctor especially if you are taking antibiotics or other treatments for IBS.est for me?

My doctor recommended not only certain prescriptions but did recommend over the counter suppliments such as Metamucil since my IBS was with diarrhea and it has helped

Thank you, and I will be asking questions about Align/probiotics when I go to my next appointment. In the meantime, I am still interested in anyone's personal experiences positive or negative using this product.
