ariza9110,
Vortioxetine is the same drug as Trintellix, in the SSRI group of a million drugs. It's not a new drug.
I have on it MDD + migraines. I lasted about two months. Between weight gain, increased suicidal thoughts and zero positive affect on anything, I will never take it again
In fairness to all antidepressants- none helped me, I just got all the bad effects.
I am 65 now, took Trintellix several years ago, I don't think the drug itself can be changed. I have autoimmune diseases too, + many problems that cause brain fog. In my humble opinion and experience, brain fog seems untreatable, unless you can cure the underlying problem, maybe.
I would research it in depth before trying it. Sorry, I know that isn't what you wanted to hear.

I do vegan keto for brain fog, because with MS I was suddenly reacting to sugar, specifically most fructose. So wierd to experience, but they have explanations.

I can do low fodmap things like blueberry powder and lemon juice ( I have liquid diet, MS affected swallowing and esophagus. So it's easier yo do special diet because I can design my own). For carbs, I can do malt, because it's glucose glucose not glucose fructose. Agrees more. Near beer, no alcohol, is cheapest way I've found so far🤣

Keto can be dangerous, and should be supervised by a professional. I have a university background in nutrition, and it's still daunting. Have to check all 5 electrolytes all the time etc, I like biosteel hydration because it has everything in the right amount.

I also found that GABA ftom the health food store releases nerve spasms, many people take it begore bed. Depends on the cause of the brain fog, and the other factors. Good luck,
Always consult professional, but keto was like night and day for brain fog.
There may be other ways to get similar results, such as Mediterranean diet with gradually adding more mct oil , but remember, this can only be used as ketones in the body. If there's other diseases and risks then please be careful.
Interesting that we know coconut oil is the usual source of fractionated mct. But I recently learned hood goats cheese ie the old fashioned kind that we can also get in canada, Has mct. That may require more research, but blue zones might have more mct foods.
Coconut oil mct from costco is the best value I found for mcts so far.

Good luck and blessings
