I'm having a difficult time comprehending that you were denied surgery based on your age! So because you are older do the risks outweigh the benefits? Or because you are older access to a better quality of care is not available to you?

It stinks, doesn't it! I am in good health otherwise,I take a BP med & exercise daily, however, I was disappointed. The surgery sounds terrible; the incision can rip open & one can hemorrhage. If you do to the Temple website under Dr. Stiner's area, you can see a good diagram of the surgery.
Meanwhile, I go on my CPAP, inhale Albuterol &2 other RX's & cut down on many activities.I was used to being active.
