Hi @johnwburns. Another member, @cahnny, posted recently about her experiences with the change in weather as it relates to chronic pain. @billh, @salena54 and @omega might be able to share a bit on this as well. @johnwburns, do you know notice more switching from summer to fall? Or what seasonal changes affect you most?

My pain comes from when the weather turns cool or cold due to double knee replacement that the muscles/tendons are too tight in said kind of weather. Warm weather loosen up the tension just enough that the pain is bearable if I don’t do any activity which is not acceptable to me.

Being by the open refrig chests in the grocery store is a killer. Using Tramodol 50mg up to 4 times a day definitely is a blessing when I am more active.

What works for controlling your pain?

omega

I don't get noticeable shifts in pain with weather changes other than getting immersed in a cold, wet climate, like when I moved from Arizona to Oregon. Murder. The heart thing happened after going in the opposite direction.

Tramadol, up to 200 mgs/day seems to help.
This thread is getting tangled up. I'll ask the moderator to split out the pain thing from the heart discussion.

Alyse, looks like this thread is getting tangled so would you create a separate one for seasonal impact on pain? It seems to resonate with a number of folks. I would but I can't move posts.
Thanks
