Orgovyx extreme fatigue side effects

Posted by mikejf @mikejf, Apr 22 9:51am

I have been using Orgovyx several years for prostate cancer and am now have in extreme fatigue side effects during the afternoon. I take Orgovyx late morning every day and side effects kick in around 3p.m. I was wondering if I switched to taking Orgovyx at night in stead if side effects during day would be reduced

I take Orgovyx and Zytiga when I get up to pee at night. I sleep like a baby when I go back to bed and fatigue during the day is manageable.

I exercise every day and feel better afterwards. On a few days when I didn't exercised the fatigue was much worse.

Good luck!

Thanks Robert.
I took my first evening dose at 8:30 last night, slept well other than getting up to pee and woke up feeling good. I’ll see what today brings.
As with you Ive exercised daily, alternating between resistance weight workouts and long walks which does help lessen the fatigue and hopefully muscle/bone density loss. Am also taking a calcium/k2/d3/b12 supplement plus pursuing a prostate friendly diet.

I'm 76 and have been on Orgovyx for 9 months. I get the hot flashes and they seem to be worse in the Summer (I live in Arizona). I attribute it to the AZ heat.

Since starting the Orgovyx, I haven't necessarily gotten fatigued but rather lack any motivation. Things I used to be on top of, e.g., around the house, yard work, etc., now I look at them and go ... oh well, whatever. Does anyone else experience this?

My side effects on Orgovyx are different. I have pain in my hips and back, chills, and inability to orgasm. These have gotten progressively worse the longer I've taken it. I'm now five months in with one more to go. Counting the days until I can stop.

Without a doubt!
74 and 3rd month on ORGOVYX with hot flashes every hour.
No energy, little motivation and tired during all waking hours. All I want to do is sleep.
I can sleep many hours of the day and night. I can easily confuse a.m. for p.m. often.
I'm a mess!

I have the hip pain also, mostly on my right side.
I have the chills immediately following every hot flash. So I am constantly getting under the blanket and back to sleep. It's all I do.
I think that I've had 3 hot flashes in the past hour.
74.
Hot!
Cold!
Sleep!
Repeat.

Lot of negative here on this drug. Anyone have a positive comment? I going on ORGOVYX shortly
Hopefully it will be better than the Lupron I was on 5 Years ago.

I just began orgovyx this morning (9/11), thinking of so many guys and their experiences with it. It was given me under name relugolix as well. Apparently German made. I have a bone scan this Monday (9/16). That surprised me as I thought the urologist would schedule a PSMA PET scan? These are early days. Looking soon to set up radiation treatments at Moffit, Tampa, FL. Hoping the autumn yields a cheerful Christmas! Best.

Hey Gary, Been on it 5 weeks and so far so good. It’s probably not long enough to really have affected me but it dropped my T from 609 to 5 in one month.
I don’t want to jinx myself but I took the advice of all the wonderful guys here on the board and kept up with my aerobic and weight lifting regimen to minimize the side effects.
I guess you can’t prove a negative, but I won’t take any chances and I’ll just keep doing what I’ve doing and hope for the best.
If you did Lupron this has GOT TO BE BETTER!

I was on Orgovyx for three months, and never had any of the negative side effects, other than needing to have a nap in the afternoons. Maybe I was just lucky in that regard. Thanks!
