Long Covid Handbook
Hi - I am finding this book - The Long COVID Handbook -very helpful in terms of coping strategies and understanding the disease:
The book is by Gez Medinger and Danny Altmann.
Also if you look up Gez Medinger, he has some good you tube videos on the topic.

Hey everyone, quick question: Has anyone tried using nicotine to help with long COVID symptoms? If so, I'd love to hear about your experience. Thanks!
I tried nicotine patches, I forget the strength but I bought them in a supermarket so I guess it was standard. I wore them for about 8 weeks and I and sorry to say they had no effect on my Long Covid at all.
They helped me a lot, but the adhesive was very bothersome to me so I switched to gum.
I have found the Long Covid Handbook a big help!!
Hi,
sorry to hear that....am using the lozenges and they have ignited my brain again - and
am feeling huge flush and a tingling at first over whole body - this is around 4 mgs per day.
Am going up to 6 mgs - and will stop there. I wonder if lozenges get into blood stream
more quickly than patches. I do not know. Mystery continues - wishing you healing and health, soon. E
Hi, Yes, 4 mgs per day - and has helped brain and over all energy is coming back.
I will go up to 6 mgs and stop there. Lozenges for me - they can cause
nause if they go through stomach I hear. Cheeers to you, E
Thank you. I will give them a go and let you know how I get on. That is, if I can find lozenges- I have never come across them

I would personally not recommend the nicoderm brand, something weird in the patches causing a strong reaction to me and others. I also found a brand called Pixitone that are toothpicks that have nicotine in them, I like that there are minimal ingredients, just nicotine and glycerin. I did just watch a video..and now cant find out of a study in Germany, the Dr said that patches are best bc it is supposed to be a steady stream of nicotine that is best, so patches are the best option. So, if you are going to give it a shot, the lowest does patch is best but again, I would not recommend nicorette brand...I still have patch marks two weeks later that are still bothering me...something really weird going on with them and I know others have had the same issues.
how and why?
thanks
You can order themonline...we got them at Walgrens, in NH. Low dosage much easier than cutting patches. Also, patches have some chemical whose name I do not remember; but people did not ike it. I Must need MORE nicotine! Good luck - we are now all guinea pigs for
possible healings.
