if anybody using cucumin powder inhaler, comments appreciated

I have never heard of cucumin powder inhaler! Is it a prescription item or Over-the-counter. (OTC).....sounds like and OTC. I have heard of using cucumin supplements for anti-inflammatory properties. I would be extremely reluctant to use as an inhaler.

@taipan Hello, there was some excitement about this as a potential treatment a couple of years ago.

However, the original article was "Retracted" by the publisher in 2023.
Here is their explanation:
"Discrepancies in scope
Discrepancies in the description of the research reported
Discrepancies between the availability of data and the research described
Inappropriate citations
Incoherent, meaningless and/or irrelevant content included in the article
Peer-review manipulation
The presence of these indicators undermines our confidence in the integrity of the article's content and we cannot, therefore, vouch for its reliability. Please note that this notice is intended solely to alert readers that the content of this article is unreliable. We have not investigated whether authors were aware of or involved in the systematic manipulation of the publication process."

At this point the only ongoing research appears to be for use in certain lung cancer patients.

It sure is! That's why, when faced with an unusual question like this, I jump into research mode, looking for actual studies of the substance or device in question. Fortunately, when I looked in scholar.google.com, it cam up with the latest - the retracted article.

Just a side note - there are a lot of theories out there about inhaling or nebulizing unusual substances. I don't have COPD, but I do have Bronchiectasis and Asthma, so I am always wary of putting anything else in my fragile lungs. And I always look for medical research, not people or websites promoting a product. You can see how easy it is for even the researchers to "get it wrong" on the first try.

Wish more people did that! I'm a well seasoned Nurse and will spend hours researching reputable sites, reading abstracts, research papers. After 8 long months of suffering through new on-set vertigo, severe headaches, unsteady gait, respiratory issues found the culprit.....a new medication that I was placed on. So my decision was scientifically based when I asked to be taken off (and was accommodated)! Have to be your own advocate always!
