Has anyone experienced a sudden floating cloud in you vision

Out of nowhere I noticed the best way I can describe it as a cloud. I’m not sure if it actually floats or fixed. When I move my eye it moves, but appears to move a little more when I fixate. The retina doctor couldn’t see anything and said just probably dry eyes. If you catch the sun just right it looks like millions of small dark short lines with space between them.
Has anyone eye experienced this phenomenon?

Floaters are common I was informed by a retinol specialist. The problem arises in the location of the floaters. I have one in the center of my cornea.
Im also a contact lens wearer. I find when I don't pay much attention to it im ok and my vision is ok.
I guess ive just learned to live with my symptoms.
I have taken Areds 2 for about 5 years now and I think it has helped to stabilize my macular issue.
I am 65.

Is it recent that you saw a retina specialist? If not, I would offer this suggestion…
If your center of cornea “floater” is stationary rather than truly floating, ie, it’s not moving around in your visual field, then you should see a retina specialist asap. This can be a symptom of active wet or dry AMD. If it is wet AMD there is treatment you would want to start immediately. When you make your appointment describe to them what your symptom is - that may help you get in sooner.
I have wet and dry AMD and am just drawing on my own experience. Good luck!

I see a retinol specialist every 6 -8 months. My floaters do move around. So far all seems stable for now.

I have glaucoma and take Lantanaprost. I also have dry eyes and blepharitis which makes for a miserable combination of burning sensations. I use warm, moist washcloths to ease the pain and l also use eyedrops throughout the day. On top of this I have mental nerve neuropathy which causes burning facial pain. I'm done. Any thoughts on how I can find help?

I have glaucoma and take Lantanaprost. I also have dry eyes and blepharitis which makes for a miserable combination of burning sensations. Can you explain what you describe as mental nerve neuropathy?

I had what I describe as a spider web that would stay in the upper left side of the eye, but move toward the center if I looked right suddenly. It started about 2-3 years ago. Since then I still have what can only be described as a fly on the end of a string, that moves when I move the eye suddenly, but mostly stays someplace to the left.

I saw a doctor, they saw nothing.

I did see a Retinologist and he saud it was a floater and he could preform a vitrectomy .
I’m a little hesitant as long as I can get by, but I can tell it’s getting worse and besides that I have wet macular and GA in the other one.
Good luck

getting worse and eventually will go for it. Not much choice and I have dry macular in both and wet in the other one
