Covid’s impact on gut health

I recently had my second bout with Covid. I did not take Paxlovid this time. My only symptoms were severe diarrhea that lasted for 5 days. I did not take anything other than Liquid IV.

My bowel movements continue to be soft. I have a lot of gas and bloating. I did read an article on the Mayo website saying that people are reporting gut issues post Covid.

Has anyone else experienced gut issues post Covid?

COVID, the great evil 👿 of our world.
I have a friend that has had it 11 times, he has all vaccines (which trigger a COVID outbreak for him. It's affected every single part of his body in multiple ways, including his gut.
