Old Scar Issues: Multiple abdominal surgeries including C-section
I have had about 8 surgeries on my stomach area with one being very serious. The last surgery was roughly 12 years ago. I also have went through weekly cupping procedures since then to have internal adhesions released. Recently I started having pain in my c-section scar and was told that I had an incisional hernia. I made an appointment with a surgeon at that time. Prior to the appointment, a section of my scar burst open. I went to the ER and started antibiotics for infection. I then was able to get an earlier appointment and talked with the surgeon, where I learned that I did not have a hernia after all. I was referred to a Wound Care facility. When I went to that appointment, I was told that the opening had a very thin layer of skin over it and they didn't want to open it back up. Since the very start of the pain, I have had severe abdominal swelling and feelings of pulling/tugging on the lower right side of my stomach and also between my belly button and the c-section scar, which happens to be where I have another scar from a previous surgery that I had a newborn delivery and hysterectomy performed at the same time. At the end of the workday from an office job, I have tons of pressure in the c-section area. I am reaching out because I have not been offered any incite as to why or how this happened or what I can do to relieve my symptoms or prevent this from happening again. My next scheduled appointment is with my Primary Care Physician, but I cannot get anything sooner than mid-September. Thank you!

Have you found anything in the meantime that helps to relieve the pulling and pain as you wait for your appointment?
Thank you for the info on adhesions. I will look into it. I have not found anything to help and have been quite frustrated. Haven't been able to find any answers so far.
