I had EBRT , External Beam Radiation Therapy , 22 sessions of it 1 year ago . It was slow to react but did lower my post operation PSA at the 7 month level post radiation. I went from PSA of 0.14 , to 0,072, to 0.056 , now in 2.5 weeks another PSA . The trend I hope continues . I have heard of some pain with EBRT , but its quite rare , more a jumpy bladder as EBRT is usually pointed at Pelvic bed area and mapped out . What is IGRT ? Not familiar with it . USA name ? Maybe we have it in Canada . I can ask my PC support group about it and side effects .

IGRT is MRI Image Guided Radiation Treatmemt. It was done using a Varian True Beam machine. Supposed to be very accurate. Thanks for the reply.

Not sure, but I think "EBRT" is a generic term for all types of external radiation-beam radiation therapy (v.s. radiation implants or radiopharmaceuticals). "IGRT" or "SBRT" would be more specific.
