@mjb is right - get that cough checked out because some causes are curable and others indicate a need for further diagnosis and treatment.

When did you last mention it to your provider? (If you are like me, the answer might be "Never" - I never brought it up until it got so bad it landed me in the ER. Like Mary, I was then diagnosed with an advanced lung condition that was possibly avoidable)

Thank you both. That's the best advice. I just thought maybe someone may have or know of a similar situation. I remember a long time ago someone told me that when they went to the diner they would always see all the older people there blowing their noses after eating. Their doctor said that this was perfectly normal. I was also hoping for that answer, too!
