A sudden facial numbness in the left cheek that resolved rather fast
A month or so ago, whilst shaving(possibly used cold water beforehand on my face), I felt a sort of numbness in the left cheek of my face. Afterwards I rushed out of the washroom and then it was gone. I have no other symptoms and have been fine. Although sometimes I get thing tingly jerky sensation in my upper body that seems to radiate from the upper back/lower neck and it sometimes reaches the face but I remember having such sensations for years in stressful/sad situations. What could it be?
I had neck strain that lead to Tension Type Headaches around that time
Also, I used to clench my jaw and grit my teeth quite often

I had daily headaches, neck/shoulder pain, and arm/hand numbness. I also had facial numbness/burning which was aggravated when having dental work or under stress (like trigeminal neuralgia or post herpetic nerve pain people get if they have had shingles). I would also grind my teeth and sometimes bite my tongue/inner cheek when eating or had difficulty swallowing. This was all tied to neurological issues with my cervical spine in my neck and believe viruses may also have been involved (those that stay dormant and get reactivated, especially when under stress).
I was diagnosed with cervical spondylitic myelopathy at C5-C6 (spinal cord compression injury), congenital spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, thyroid nodule (2.5 cm which was pressing on things), etc. I had ACDF surgery to decompress my spinal cord/nerve roots/nerves and had the thyroid nodule/lobe removed (the nodule was suspicious). Many of my symptoms improved after this.
Have you had a MRI of your cervical spine? You may benefit from seeing a neurologist for testing and to see if something is compressing your nerves in your neck/face. Best wishes to you in getting answers and the proper diagnosis/treatment.
