My husband suffers from a pressure wound on his backside, right in the crack between his cheeks. His dr. ordered a home health nurse who comes twice weekly. She orders all his supplies and Medicare pays for everything. Your dr. may be able to get you some help in your home.

Oh mannnn am in the same sinking boat as you are. My sores are on both butt cheeks right where the butt bones are. I had a health decline with a bunch of things and had lost sixty pounds and almost all the loss was in my backside. Anyways, I had to be in a recliner for a period of time and thought I didn't have to worry as I am only 43. Wow, that came back and bot me it in the literal behind! Lol!!! So now I have three and have absolutely no insurance and I also live in a very rural community (village), many miles away. I can no longer drive. So no medical. My former profession was as a nurse: I am utilizing my knowledge to get through. Very very painful. I just realized that these discussions are from years ago and you probably didn't have access to them anymore... Ah well. 💙❤️🩵

@psale92415 Oh, to have a pressure sore right where you sit. Ouch! You mentioned that you have had several before, but you’ve been able to care for them. Have you asked your doctor for a referral to a wound nurse? They are priceless! Also, read the previous entries in this discussion. Many wound creams were mentioned.
What product are you currently sitting on in your w/chair?
