Need your prayers!

My husband's lung cancer has taken a turn for the worse. I would deeply appreciate any and all prayers for him! He's using his nebulizer every 2 hours and is on Prednisone and Morphine. We get up two to three times a night since he is gasping for breath and needs to use his nebulizer. He gets breathless just walking down the hall. He was in the ER two weeks ago. We don't have hospice yet but may have to eventually. I don't know what they could do. I'm doing everything. However, a doctor would come to our home since Ed isn't well enough to go to the doctor's office.

I know that God is in control and always has been. Everything is in God's time. We pray often. We both know that we'll be in Heaven together in the future.
Thank you so much for your prayers!

May Jesus comfort you.

I am so very sorry you are going through this. But what comfort God is bringing you. I'm glad to see you know hospice is an option in the future. They may be able to bring in many supports for both of you. Lifting up prayers for an ease in symptoms, comfort for you both and God's presence in the midst.

I pray to God that He would help you rest.

It's understandable you want to be there, for him, just in case. Maybe, just maybe, you could let some other people into you two's life. You need to rest while God is slowly taking him Home. It's a very trying time. My husband has been dying since 1976. I knew a woman whose husband was dying for 20 years, and she took care of him. But she also had a son and daughter-in-law to help her. When her husband finally passed, she still carried on with all that there was to do. Then in Bible study one day, she just collapsed. What better place to do it? We had a wise woman leading us, so we carried her to a couch (it was at someone's home) and laid her there to sleep. When she got up, she was fine. I've always been glad of her example. Trust the same God you ask us to pray to, to carry you too, through. He's not the only one who needs our prayers. God bless.

Thank you for the kind words! You are right. I needed rest just like that lady did that you mentioned. We were almost to the point of getting help with hospice when my husband died. I miss him terribly but I'm so glad that he's up in Heaven now with God and Jesus and our loved ones. I pray a lot to God to help me get through this difficult time and he has. I have encountered a lot of very nice people that have helped me; not charging me for services, or fees, the neighbor taking me to my eye appt. (I can't drive with drops in my eyes.) and even the guy who runs the gas station showing me how to correctly put gas in my car and telling me, "Anytime you have problems you just come in here. We'll help you!" I've always been terrible at putting my own gas in my car! But I'm getting better with his help.
I could still use your prayers to help me continue to get through this difficult and lonely time.
Thank you so much!

God, I pray for this husband and wife that they be in peace, find strength and comfort in your words you give us, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10 ...I pray in Jesus name...I trust in you...that we all find trust in you who need strength in our spirit with your mercy and love ❤️

Thank you so much for your prayers and wonderful Bible quotations! We did find peace. My husband died on July 7. He's up in Heaven now with God and Jesus and all of his loved ones and he's out of being terribly short of breath and extremely uncomfortable! I miss my husband but God is helping me to get through this lonely time! I still need your prayers to help me get through this also.
Thank you!

I will.pray and think of you and your husband. My first husband went into a nursing home in 2012 because I could no longer care for him. He deteriorated quickly and a nurse there told me to consider hospice. I still remember that day. He passed 2 weeks later. I held his hand through his last breath.

Thank you so much for your prayers! My husband died on July 7. He is up in Heaven with God and Jesus and our loved ones. We loved each other so much but I'm so glad that he is out of the terrible uncomfortable situation he was in. Now, I'm alone but I pray to God everyday to help me through this time and he does. I've had many prayers answered lately and am so grateful for that. I could still use your prayers to help me get through this very lonely time.
Thank you!
