If you think that the doctor isn't giving you the best care, look for a second opinion. I am not sure if my doctor that I was going to prior to getting the referral was the best for me. I might have been better going to transplant team sooner. My doctor was talking about possibly needing a transplant, having me go for some tests and then waiting until those tests were considered old and I almost had to start all over again. If a doctor doesn't want you to have a second opinion then run. A doctor should want the best for your health and not be so arrogant that they think they know more than anyone else, but research the doctors that you go to.

So I'm curious as to how you research doctors. I just do a search and check reviews. The doctor I'm seeing is involved with clinical trials and her expertise is in ILD and lung diseases. When they set up the appointment from the referral they picked the doctor I would see. I'd like to know how many patients she has. I wish more people would take time to do reviews. I need to decide if I want a second opinion. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.
