Roger Sir ! Yes I think they should rename the PSA test to " patient source of anxiety" . Lordy !!! I dont get great sleep about 10 days prior . SO , I will take it Mid Sept. The tend has been good and I need it to continue . The whole anxiety situation is more or less from dealing with my father and his prostate discovery about 28 years ago or so. I remember it like yesterday. He was a chemical engineer and a very bright guy, but he hated going to the doctors as he said it was not an exact science and they can get you into trouble. When he had to get a physical for an overseas trip, they snagged him at that point. I think he was at 14 to 17 on the PSA. Who knows how long he had it for. He was 60 at the time. One year younger than myself. I drove him to his appointment and cancelled him and gave him books on topic, etc. The last year was the toughest. He elected to do External beam radiation as his only treatment. Then he went on hormone therapy prior to his death about one year. That was tough to witness. I would come up to the hospital in the palliative care ward and bring some of his favourite foods or treats, at times he would smile and other times he would smile and say, "...I wish I had the appetite and my taste buds to eat that ..." . It was like yesterday for sure Sir . God Bless you and yours . . James on Vancouver Island .

You can diminish your PSA anxiety by eating lots of mushrooms a few days before the PSA check. Works for me. Mine is < .01. Look it up: MUSHROOMS lowers PSA.
