Hi Superkhal and Hpboss84! Once the small incision healed, I found that there was little to learn to cope with. I cannot hold babies close on that side - presses down uncomfortably - and need to remember to not turn tightly to the right. At airports, I tell TSA about it and I get screened differently depending on the specific equipment available. Other places where screening takes place (theaters, museums etc), I am told to walk around the screening area without further ado; this 78 year old lady must look nonthreatening. Going to the gym, the cardiovascular workouts are much less intense and still do weights. I look at the ICD as my constant monitoring buddy.
