Can cooking odours be a trigger for an exacerbation?

I stayed with my daughter for a while after Covid and I noticed when they roasted onion, green and red peppers in the oven, the smell would come through the air conditioning, and I became short of breath.
I do have food sensitivities to all these things and more.

Thanks!….and understandable…..we were canning vegetables the other day…..the vapors that came from the boiling canning vinegar were unbearable….they too made my wife short of breath…..have a blessed day
