I had blood clots (bilateral pulmonary embolisms) three months post Covid shot in 2021. Was put on 5mg Eliquis twice daily. I had all kinds of leg pain and issues walking. Changed hematologists who then decided to cut dosage in half. Am now on maintenance dosage of Eliquis 2.5mg twice daily. Am doing much better. I have been told not to take any Omega 3 supplements nor any aspirin products. I take Tylenol sometimes. No special dietary restrictions.

I have a strong bias against Eliquis after having been on it for the past 8 months and just asked my physician to change me back to Warfarin. Warfarin is inconvenient in that you have Monthly Lab work to check PT/INR levels. Sometimes the older drugs remain the superior ones. You can check Eliquis drug information at "Dailymed.com" which is NIH based or use Drugs.com which pulls from three different large data bases for drug information.
