I had a full almost 5 months ago. Stiffness can last 12 to 18 months. Just joined a gym and got a trainer. Seems to help some. I have good days and bad. Today is leaning to bad. On my feet all day for work. I also have numbness on the lower outer part of my knee. That is because they cut nerves in the surgery. That too should get better over time

Until you can apply heat to your knee, keep icing. I could not take the pain meds at all. Extra strength Tylenol eases both the burning and tightness. Keep moving your knee, stretching and breathing through the pain. The tightness will subside as your therapy gets more intense. My burning progressed to zingers then to itching.
At 3 weeks post TKR, I started using a heating pad and then massaged the warm knee with high quality coco butter scar cream.
I am just about 20 weeks out and still have numbness on the outside of my knee where the nerves are healing.
Best of luck to you.
