Have you had stem cell therapy for back pain?
Has anyone used stem cell therapy for chronic pain, specifically for arthritis in the spinal cord?

@musimary, You peaked my interest with your discussion. While I don't have what I would call real back pain I do have degenerative arthritis in my spinal cord and lower back issues that make it hard for me to walk distances. I was not aware of this but did find a few references while you wait for members with experience to respond.

5 ReactionsNot personally, but I know of a neighbor who received stem cell treatment for degenerative disc disease (arthritis?) of the lower spine. She received treatment at a private clinic in Scottsdale to the tune of $85k. No insurance coverage and no positive results. Sorry
That's a sad story. Thanks for the info.
I’ve got primary OA of my spine (not joints yet), spinal stenosis, chronic pain syndrome. I’m now using buprenorphine patch 20mcg/x 7 days with great results. You cannot reverse the aging process and PRP has not been approved by FDA for treatment. Exercise is my go to for acute back pain and PT. I also use cannabis higher CBD with lower THC for breakthrough pain instead of oxycodone which I have essentially stopped needing.

1 ReactionIt helped my arthritis. It was $3,500. Dr. Enty Bedford TX
What brand name is your Buprenorphine pain patch? Thank you.
Was the procedure involved? How long before you saw results?
Buprenorphine comes in a generic form and branded as Butrans. Both are made by the same manufacturer. There aren’t many options available.
Similar to steroid injection. Doctor would do both at same time.
I would call their office to find out specifics, even if you don’t go to him.
I researched SCT procedure and vetted doctors. I selected Dr. Enty, it’s not all about money with him. I had my procedure in 2019. Helped immensely with my arthritis. It took a couple of weeks before I felt the full relief. My current X-rays show very little arthritis.
I was on it but generic didn’t help me. I was wondering who the manufacturer that you use. It should have it on box.
