M to F surgery: Anyone else transition? Feeling alone
I had male to female reassignment surgery about 12 years ago. However, my surgeon caused a fistula, and I was on a colostomy for 13 months. They could not close the tear and ended up suturing my “vagina” shut. Obviously, very depressed. Would love to talk to someone who has experience the same as I feel very lonely. Thank you.

Hi, my daughter had her total revision surgery, penis, and testicles removed, but doctor failed miserably trying to create a vagina. She feels very alone because she feels everybody else had successful surgeries. Hers was done when she was 20 and she is now 35. I Will say this, if she had to do it over again, I’m not sure if she would get her penis removed. But only because her surgery was not successful. She has been on HRT for 15 years now.
Thats horrible !
Why could they not fix this ? Can another surgeon do it .
Many people get revisions. I did myself. Research a competent surgeon… Read reviews… and get a repair.
May I ask what type of vagina they attempted to make for her ?
Mine was made from small intestine. Mostly jejunum tissue. Although it was not entirely successful, it it very functional. I had to have an external revision because that part was not done properly.
There are good surgeons out there, as well as new techniques. Do some research and read reviews. Get this redone.
I had mine redone by Marcio Littleton, and I feel he did a good job. He is in Rio De Janeiro

Welcome, @wulfronnie. I look forward to getting to know more about you. I know that gender transition is very privat and personal, and the process is different for everyone, but I wonder if you might share a bit more (if you're comfortable) about where you are in your transition and how you are doing?
Yes, I can started with plan parenthood after been turned down for estradiol by UF Shands in gainsville,fl, went 12 months with them so I could get my big breast implants, they are 695 cc - medium projection!, at that time 19 months on estradiol, I was a AA size , but after 24 months my breasts stared growing bigger on top of the implants so the after now after 37 months I am 42:DDD, and they still have dropped all the way!,so I have 7 different operations, on my face to make more female looking, and Mayo in Rodchester, MN , just did my zero vagina surgery, now I can put on a body suite and look good!! Love every thing that good into being a trans -female , it’s worth every dollar and every fight I have had to against The Va medical system telling me I wasn’t ready to get hormones, after I had come out to them!!, I will fight and fight for transgender rights! I do not quit till I get all my surgery done 3 more to go!!Ronnie.
