Bronchiectasis specialist at Vanderbilt?
My husband has bronchiectasis and suspected sarcoidosis. His bronchiectasis flares are becoming more frequent and he needs a new pulmonologist since his doctor recently retired. I’ve read on here about Dr. James Tolle, but the clinic refused to make an appointment for a bronchiectasis appointment saying it’s not listed as something Tolle treats (even tho Vandy website says otherwise). I’m flabbergasted. Can anyone here confirm if Tolle still treats bronchiectasis and if not, is there another pulmonologist at Vanderbilt you recommend? I believe my husband has been under-treated for his condition for many years and I want to make sure he gets the right doctor this time. Thank you!

I'm sorry to hear that this was your experience. I, and others, are being treated for Bronchiectasis by Dr. Tolle and for NTM by Dr. Fiske who work together. I have my quarterly appointments with them this morning. I can raise it with him.
The information you received was incorrect. Dr Tolle definitely treats Bronchiectasis.
Thank you for confirming this for me! This morning the clinic was still unable to make the appointment based on a bronchiectasis diagnosis, even with a referral from the PCP. But, my husband did receive a direct message from Dr Tolle’s team to set up an appointment. Very relieved and I hope Vandy gets this quirk in the system resolved. thanks again!
So glad to hear it. Dr T is aware of the issue.
