Hi,
My Hair loss was not severe-since I had very thick hair to begin with. I am 76 so hair loss is a product of aging. I was on actonel 35 mg. once a week for about 6 months and I started gagging on food not able to swallow properly. Had a barium swallowing test done -and they said I had some GERD. This is all from actonel-since I NEVER had this before. I have also had bloating between the Prolia and Actonel. So right now I am on a "drug holiday"-I am extremely fit take lots of natural calcium daily and my bone density showed some improvement. I was lucky after one Prolia shot and going off it I did not have rebound but maybe the actonel helped.
Thank you for sharing your information. I have come down with serious eye infections and my ophthalmologist stated the infections are caused by inflammation in the body, and also stated the eye inflammation is directly related to Prolia. He told me next time I have the eye infection we will need to do blood work to find the cause. After receiving his information I decided to stop Prolia, and all other osteoporosis medicine. I also recently stated losing hair by the hands full. Best of luck to you!
My doctor prescribed Aldendronate when I went off Prolia.
