@ripley

You mentioned that Cymbalta helped a lot, but it sounds like you stopped taking it. Was there a reason you quit this drug. I haven't tried any meds for my fibro. I'm trying supplements recommended by my functional med dr but they don't seem to help much. Thanks.

Dear Ripley, I tried Cymbalta and it didn’t help me at all. It also gave me some side-effects, so I stopped after about 6 weeks. I do have some help with Ketorolac 20mg.
also when I start to become overwhelmed with the pain and hand swelling, I see my Dr. for a 60mg. injection of Toradol. Let’s be honest, when the pain is so severe that you are bedridden - you need to get some medical treatment. My doctor is to be commended for working with me. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING can stop the excruciating amount of pain that I am in (or reduce the swelling)….but
it’s a kick-start to getting a
handle on this for when I get home. I then rest and I take care to stay warm and hydrated. Sports drinks with electrolytes are best…. I am in a bad flare now. Got an injection yesterday. Still feeling a lot of pain and pressure, however it will ebb off here sooner with the meds and rest. My best to everyone.

Hi
Prior to cymbalta I was on cyclobenzaprine it's a muscle relaxer also helps with pain. After knee surgery my pain was intolerable and cymbalta was used to control it. It's a fibro med. I only needed it to recover from surgery. Then I went back on cyclobenzaorine As you know, fibro comes and goes I have had it since the age of.
Mid twenties so. Mine is Controlled by Supplementation and c b d/cbn oil and advil plus. Since going thru radiation therapy i have severe fatigue and sleep issues. Waiting on my new gp to decide what to try.
