@lizny My condolences for the loss of your mom. It sometimes takes a while to get the ground under us solid again, we devote an enormous percentage of our day and energy to caretaking. Allow yourself this respite to find yourself, perhaps re-start a hobby or pastime you placed on hold. Honor the energy you spent with your mom, be gentle on yourself. Perhaps you will find a cause to volunteer for?

Oh @lizny - I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. And I understand the question of "what do to now?". After my dad died many years ago, I thought to myself "What did I used to do before I spent so much time going back and forth to visit/care for my dad?" Only one thought came to mind. I used to take dance lessons. So... I went back to the place for lessons, the first week there I met my now husband... It's been 25 years now, so I'm here to tell you that life has ups and downs all over the place but it goes on, and some of it is wonderful. Is there anything you remember that you used to LOVE doing before you were a caretaker to your mom?
