What brought you joy today?
If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:
1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

My personal cancer meditation for Mondays:
❝A new week is full of new possibilities; don't miss any of them because you're looking to the past.❞

Doing an exercise class this morning 🌅
My daughter-in-law sent me a photo of my three year old grandson walking the dog.
Driving to work and feeling like my old self - was beautiful outside and I just felt joyful and blessed. I didn’t feel fatigued. A few hours of work then a couple hours at the infusion center.
Grateful for the breath of life in me !
Dinner with friends at a wonderful Mexican restaurant I just discovered hidden in the canyon. Taco Tuesday! It has been around since the 50s yet no one I know had heard of it. We sat out in the most beautiful huge back patio with a lush garden that includes beautiful trees sprinkled with lights, 3 man-made waterfalls down a rock hillside and a creek that has running water in the winter. Delicious food, great service and soooo peaceful. The evening weather was perfect as California weather tends to be. There are often guests' horses tied up out front in the gravel parking lot with a few tables for the riders out front. The drive there takes me on a brief getaway out of suburbia and into the countryside down a winding road lined with green trees and an occasional country-style retail building or ranch. What a great find! I am slowly but surely introducing every friend I have to this wonderful hidden gem. So far, it's a hit with everyone!
This forum has been so good for me. Such joy reading everyone wanting to lend a helping hand. My joy today was waking up and just feeling so good. I received an email last night and it was so nice. I'm having trouble writing this but wanted to say it brought me joy. Best to all
This little puppy, the newest member of our household (she belongs to my daughter and son-in-law).
How wonderful! This brought me joy today, too. Thank you.
Dogs are amazing. I often wish I could be one (except for the horrible food they have eat and the too short lifespan). No awareness of the future, no self-pity, etc.
Yesterday was perfect weather here in NJ and I took my dog on a five mile hike and about two miles in she stopped, wagged her tail and jumped up on me as if to say "thanks, this is really great!" and I stopped on the trail and gave her a hug before we continued on.
Of course, she also ate an entire bag of pretzels I'd bought to snack on but you have to take the wins with the losses 😃
