Here is one research paper on increased platelets with mild covid, but decreased platelets with severe covid infection. There are other paper in ResearchGate and links in this paper. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34695854/

Thanks! This study looks at platelets and clots in "normal" people. It's not clear whether platelets in those of us with ET or other MPNs will respond the same way.

Confusing the matter is that a few people are running to ET groups claiming that covid (or the vaccine) gave them cancer/ET when, in fact, their platelet rise is temporary.

That can happen when the doc isn't clear and/or a patient runs to Dr Google for info.
