Has anyone experienced Petechiae

I'm curious to know if anyone has experienced petechiae. (Petechiae are tiny spots of bleeding under the skin or in the mucous membranes. The pinpoint-sized purple, red or brown dots are not a rash.)

I have been battling Long Covid since November 2021. I continue to have new symptoms present - Petechiae being the newest.

I lost my taste and smell from Covid in December of 2022 and just had my 4th Stellate Ganglion Block Injection yesterday to help bring them back. I have experienced Petechiae but only after having the flu and from vomiting a lot. They were on my face and went away after 2 days.

The doctors I have seen don’t seem too concerned about petechiae. If you google it, the list goes on and on about what might cause them.
Mine are few, mostly on my abdomen. I think it usually falls under “idiopathic”. I have severe constipation and have read that can be a cause.

They are temporarily, meaning that for about 4-5 weeks after I get the injection I have a more salty, sweet, sour taste on my tongue and could usually smell my coffee grounds every morning. Now, however, those are fleeting and I will have another injection on August 19th which is next week and hope to have a better outcome. It seems that with each injection I had, I was able to have stronger tastes on my tongue of the salty, sweet, sour and was able to smell some things sometimes. It’s just so odd and hard to explain, but not doing anything would be worse for me. I’m a fixer and for some reason, this isn’t easy to fix! I will be asking the doctor at my next injection appointment what else I can do next. I need a next step…

The Federal medical departments have announced they now recognize LongCovid as a valid illness. Authorized new research facilities, approved new medications, and are on new path to educate primary & specialist doctors!!!

That’s good news, but the government moves at a snail’s pace. How many years have we been suffering? For some, now in the the fifth year! How many lives lost? It really is a disgrace.

We need a celebrity, or some high profile person to get involved.
Remember when Elizabeth Taylor jumped in on the aids epidemic?
She really jumpstarted research for aids....but not before so many died.
