This 2021 review establishes that senescent cells accumulate in the retina and contribute to AMD. (Age-related Macular Degeneration).

Many companies are working on creating drugs for removal of senescent cells from the body.
One of the problems is finding one that will work on certain types of cells like retinal cells.
Meanwhile just Google "senecent cells" to learn about them. It is possible to reduce some of these cells with a simple, once a month, large 2400 mg dose of Fisetin which is a substance found in small amounts in plants such as strawberries. Because it is not very soluble in water it is best to purchase Liposomal Fisetin. (available at Amazon and others).
