I have severe muscle contractions and tremors during sleep. They occur when I attempt to change position and only after I have been asleep for at least six hours. This began in October of 2023 and happens virtually every night. I went to see a neurologist who said she had never heard of any such thing and dismissed me saying maybe it would self resolve.

I hate when I hear that their doctor has dismissed them! It’s frustrating! I too have long covid (over 2 years no taste or smell) and on occasion will get these severe cramping in my lower extremities and body tremors. It will usually happen when I’m over tired and have been on my feet a lot. I have been using LMNT Electrolyte Hydration packets pretty regularly and they seem to help as they’re loaded with magnesium, potassium and sodium. I also try not to get over tired.
