I lived overseas, and the medication of choice for the treatment of oral herpes (cold sores) was Zovirax which is expensive in the US. I have just discovered that a few days of applying Hydrogen Peroxide clears a cold sore.

I too used Zovirax for cold sores when I lived overseas. Like you, I too have discovered applying Hydrogen Peroxide to a cold sore will clear it.
